Home » Press Releases » Current News » BPD Release Photos in University District Robberies BPD Release Photos in University District RobberiesBuffalo Police have released photos of two possible suspects in connection with a number of recent robberies in the University District area. Police believe the two suspects have targeted mainly U.B. students since late February. Police believe the two may be responsible for at least a half dozen robberies. Buffalo Police immediately added extra patrols in the area and are working hand-in-hand with authorities from the University at Buffalo. Detectives from the Buffalo Police Department believe the two suspects may've first struck on Northrup Avenue on February 28th. In that incident, police say the two robbed a female at gunpoint, taking her debit card and forcing her to give them her pin number. Later in the evening, it's believed the two suspects went to an HSBC Bank on Bailey Avenue and used the victim's bank card. The two withdrew an undisclosed amount of money. Bank photos caught these images of the two suspects. If anyone has seen these two individuals or knows of their whereabouts, you're urged to immediately call the Confidential Tip Call Line at (716) 847-2255 or e-mail us at www.bpdny.org and just click on the "Report a Tip" section on the home page. If you need immediate help from the police, dial 9-1-1. Buffalo Police are recommending that anyone in the University District area take extra precautions. Police urge you to lock your car doors, make sure nothing is left in plain sight in your vehicle, to walk with a friend or friends, and as always to be aware of your surroundings.
