BPD Investigate Double Homicide

Buffalo Police continue to investigate a double homicide that happened this past Sunday in the 300 block of Sanders Road in North Buffalo. Police were called to the home just before 11:30am Sunday morning. Police have identified the bodies as 26 year old Loren Hinkle of Buffalo and his 25 year old girlfriend, Dhanika McDaniel of the Sanders Road address.

An autopsy has confirmed that both died from a single gunshot wound. Detectives believe that one or both of the victim's might've been familiar with their attacker or attackers.

Police were back at the scene on Monday combing the area for more clues. Authorities believe relatives tried calling the home several times on Sunday morning before finally the couple's 4 year old child answered the phone. Shortly after that, relatives called 9-1-1 to notify police.
