Intelligence Bulletin: Burglary
On 9/14/08, a burglary was reported in the City of Buffalo where $190,000.00 worth of valuable paintings and antiques were taken. Subsequent to this burglary, the BPD General Investigation Unit obtained a search warrant which was executed at 488 W. Utica. Arrested was a Jeffery Weisberg, DOB 3/1/1948, for possessing $3,000.00 worth of paintings and antiques. The items listed below remain outstanding: - Oil Painting of Man Playing Base, 21/2’ x 3’, no frame—valued to be $600.00.
- Angel without Wings, Mahogany, Size of a child—valued to be $7,000.00—$8,000.00.
- 2 End Tables 3x2—$600.00 each.
- Artist Name Painting/Oil/Canvas 3’x2 1/2’ with thick frame— valued to be at least $10,000.00—$20,000.
- 6 Specik Valley Tribal Masks (Oceanic, from Figi Islands), Soft wood, 3—4 ft high, dark stained—valued at $2,500.00 a piece. (not shown)
