Police Pick up "Person of Interest" in Pittsburgh

Gerald Gibson, Person of Interest

A "person of interest" in a recent Buffalo homicide has been captured in Pittsburgh, PA. Police confirmed on Monday that an individual wanted for questioning in the June 7th slaying of 19 year old Jermaine Martin has been taken into custody by Pittsburgh Police on Sunday afternoon.

Gerald Gibson, 18 years old, also known as "Na Na" was on a bus, which had a scheduled stop at the Pittsburgh Greyhound Bus terminal. He had been the subject of a police manhunt, since he surfaced as a person of interest in the homicide investigation.

"We are confirming the fact that Gerald 'Na Na' Gibson was arrested on an outstanding warrant, for a Buffalo robbery incident, and that he is currently being held in the Allegheny County, PA jail, said Dennis J. Richards, chief of detectives. "Gibson had boarded the bus in Philadelphia, which had a scheduled stop in Pittsburgh. The ultimate destination was St. Louis, Missouri," said Dennis J. Richards, chief of detectives.
