Homicide Detectives Investigate Fillmore Avenue Fatal Shooting

Buffalo Police Homicide Detectives have identified the victim in connection with an early morning fatal shooting on Fillmore Avenue. The female victim has been identified as 51 year old Cheryl Booker of Buffalo. She was shot in the upper body area. Homicide Detectives believe that Booker appears to be an innocent victim.

Police believe the initial shots were fired outside of Lee's Lounge at 1261 Fillmore Avenue just after 12:30am Monday morning. Detectives believe Booker was shot while she was inside the bar. The victim was declared dead at the scene. Police are also trying to determine if a second victim was shot. But at this time, a second victim has not been located.
