BPD Investigate String of Car Break-ins in Old First Ward

Buffalo police are investigating a series of car break-ins that occurred Wednesday night, February 3rd,  in the Old First Ward area.

Police believe the break-ins happened mainly on Miami and Ohio Streets and occurred between 4pm-10pm.

Items taken from the vehicles include: Laptops, GPS systems, a compact radio and possibly other valuables.

Police again urge motorists not to leave valuables;  including GPS Systems, computers, money, purses, etc. in  plain view in your vehicle.

Police also encourage you:  to park in well lit areas, to put your valuables away BEFORE arriving at your destination and of course making sure your doors and windows are locked.
