Corporate Challenge; Parking and Saftey Tips

A reminder from the Buffalo Police Department with the Corporate Challenge set for Thursday evening, June 6th, 2013.

Buffalo police remind you to lock your car and not to leave valuables of any kind visible in your vehicle.

That includes electronics, money, purses, wallets, etc. You're advised to put those items in a trunk or other safe places BEFORE arriving.

Also with the usual high volume of traffic expected for the race, vehicles parked in "No Parking Zones" on side streets in and around Delaware Park will not be ticketed.

But police will be ticketing and towing any vehicles that are parked in unsafe areas including: blocking driveways, blocking fire hydrants, blocking crosswalks or parked in handicap areas or parked on exit or entrance ramps.

With parking at the race site extremely limited, The Department and race officials recommend using off-site parking and free shuttle service available at Buffalo State.

No parking is permitted on the grass areas in and around Delaware Park.

Also this year, Buffalo police are discouraging individuals from bringing backpacks to the race site. Police say those with backpacks are subject to checks.
