BPD Seeks Public's Help in Cab Driver Death

Buffalo police are continuing to investigate the murder of a local cab driver, Mazen M. Abdallah, and are reaching out through the media, for the public's help.

The taxi was found in the 700 block of Norfolk Avenue, with the driver found dead in the back-seat. Police have already asked for anyone with knowledge on the whereabouts of the cab between five and seven o'clock in the morning, Wednesday, to notify police. The vehicle was a white Lincoln Town Car with the number 57 prominently displayed, marked with the Airport Taxi logo.

Someone found the victim's New York State driver's license contained in a brown leather and plastic insert of a wallet displaying the victim's picture and other information.

They may not even have noticed what it was, but that good citizen put the license in a mailbox, and police would like to know more. Right now, police are asking for that person to come forward - with the location of where the driver's license was found.

The information police need is when and where the document was found, and in what mailbox it was placed.

Calls can be received at the Homicide Squad office number - 851-4466, or the TIPCALL number - 716.847-2255, or use the text a tip option at the same number, or use the department's website: www.bpdny.org.
