Buffalo police Arrest Suspect Linked to Bank Robberies

A man suspected of committing at least two bank robberies in Buffalo has been arrested after a lengthy search by police.

Police from the Northwest and Central Districts arrested 51 year old Gabriel Mills of Cheektowaga on Friday, September 7th.

Dennis J. Richards, chief of detectives said, "Mills was identified as a suspect in two robberies: the Key Bank branch at Fountain Plaza on April 25, and the HSBC branch at Lafayette Square on May 14th."

Mills was charged by Detectives Timothy Rooney and John Paradowski of the Central District, assisted by Lt. Michael Quinn.

Officers from the Northwest District found Mills while investigating a call to a north Buffalo residence, and held him for the detectives, who had been attempting to locate the suspect since May.
