BPD Bike Patrols Arrest 3 in Black Rock
Buffalo police bike patrols made three arrests in connection with a burglary Wednesday afternoon near the Black Rock section of the city. Mayor Byron Brown and Police Commissioner Daniel Derenda put in place bike and foot patrols in parks, commercial business districts and other areas. The patrols begin every year when the weather turns nice. Wednesday afternoon at approximately 1pm, officers were on routine bike patrol on Tonawanda Street near Forest Avenue, when they spotted the suspects in a fenced-in area of a warehouse removing steel beams from the building. Arrested were 17 year old Dakota Williams of Buffalo, 16 year old Aaron Smith of Buffalo and 50 year old Nathan Edwards of Buffalo. A 4th person, a male juvenile, was also charged.The charges include burglary, grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.
