Buffalo Police Homicide Detectives have arrested a man in connection with the murder of his father, which occurred this past March.

84 year old Donald Rossel was found dead in the kitchen of his residence at 45 Susan Lane, in south Buffalo, on March 29th, by South District police officers.

"An investigation was commenced by Homicide Squad members, which ultimately led to the arrest late Friday afternoon of the victim's son, Brian Rossel," according to Dennis J. Richards, Chief of Detectives.

50 year old Brian Rossel, of Forest Avenue in Buffalo, was arrested by Detective Scott R. Malec. Assisting in the investigation and arrest were Detective Sergeants James P. Lonergan, and David Lillis and Detective Brian Ross of the Homicide Squad.

Rossel faces a single count of murder in the second degree. He was booked and held at the Erie County Holding Center, awaiting court proceedings in the matter.
