South District Officers Arrest Pharmacy Suspect

Buffalo police have arrested an individual in connection with a pharmacy robbery.

The incident happened Wednesday morning, September 29th,  just after 9am at the Nickel City Pharmacy located at 1791 South Park Avenue.

South District officers say the individual entered the pharmacy armed with a handgun and a mask on his face.

It appears the individual then threatened the employees and customers demanding that  everyone get on the ground.

A security guard inside the store ordered the individual to drop his gun and get on the floor.

The individual, 49 year old Russell Fuller of Buffalo, was arrested and charged with Robbery in the 1st degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon.

Besides the handgun, Officer Debra Hornberger recovered an apparent  loaded rifle from the car the individual was driving.

South District detectives are looking at the possibility that Fuller may've robbed the pharmacy at least one time before.

On August 27th just after 9:30am, detectives say the suspect entered the store, armed with a handgun and then made off with prescription pills.

After that robbery, South District detectives conferred with the pharmacy and a security guard was hired.

The pharmacy was also robbed on July 12th just before 9:30am where the suspect made off with prescription pills.
