Dwain WalkerBuffalo police are hunting for a suspect in the city's most recent homicide case.

Just before 7pm Wednesday evening, Northeast District officers responded to a call of a fight in an upper apartment in the first block of Lonsdale Road.

Officers found the victim, 48 year old Sammy Cooley bleeding profusely from the neck.

The victim was rushed to Erie County Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his wounds.

He is the 51st homicide victim this year.

Crime Scene Unit and Homicide detectives were called to the scene and conducted an immediate investigation.

A suspect in this fatal incident has been identified as Dwain Walker, a black male, 41 years old.
