BPD Investigate Fatal Shooting of Teenager

Buffalo police continue to investigate the fatal shooting of 15 year old Dominique Maye of Hewitt Avenue.

The incident occurred Thursday night, September 30th around 8:45pm in the 300 block of Hewitt Avenue off of Bailey Avenue.

An autopsy conducted at the Erie County Morgue confirmed the female victim died as a result of being shot.

Northeast District police had responded to the area for calls regarding multiple shots being fired.

Crime Scene Unit personnel retrieved evidence from the crime scene, indicating more than a dozen shots were fired from an assault rifle at the house.
