BPD and Air One Arrest Two in KFC Robbery

Buffalo police and the Erie County Air One helicopter combined to make two arrests following the armed robbery of a KFC restaurant Monday afternoon, May 10th.

Police say three suspects entered the store, located in the 400 block of East Delavan at Fillmore Avenue,  at around 2:30pm and demanded money.

Once the suspects fled the store, Buffalo police officers were helped significantly when Air One spotted them from above.

Within minutes, Captain David Stabler, Lt. Randy Ammerman and Officer Derrick Floyd apprehended one suspect near East Delavan and Sheridan Avenue. A second suspect was apprehended by Officer Sollie Boone nearby.

Arrested and charged with  1st degree robbery were: 22 year old Zontail Warren of Buffalo and 20 year old Cortez Foster of Buffalo.

Police did recover some of the money taken in the robbery and at least one handgun.
