K-9 Graduation

Five K-9's graduated Wednesday afternoon, December 16th, including "Stark" from the Buffalo Police Department.

The ceremony was held at the Niagara Regional Police Service Headquarters in St.Catharines, Ontario.

The Buffalo police contingent attending the ceremony included; Commissioner H. McCarthy Gipson, K-9 Lt. Salvatore Losi, Lt. Joseph Panus and the dog's partner, Officer James Howe.

With the addition of "Stark", the Buffalo police K-9 unit is now at six.

"Stark" is 15-months old and will specialize in "narcotics detection" when he hits the street at the beginning of the new year.

Three dogs from Canada also graduated along with one from Tonawanda.
