BPD Arrest Second Suspect in U.B. Student Homicide Case

18 year old charged with weapons possession.

Buffalo Police Homicide Detectives have arrested a second suspect in connection with the murder of University at Buffalo graduate Javon Jackson of the Bronx, NY.

Arrested, based on findings of an Erie County grand jury, is 18 year old Christian T. Klenke, also known as Christian McCutcheon of Norfolk Avenue in the City. He has been charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second degree, an armed felony, according to an Indictment Warrant, dated July 17th.

Klenke was picked up at his house late Monday morning, by Homicide Detectives Antonio Borrelli and Patrick Judge.

Jackson was killed in the early morning hours of May 10th, just hours after the University’s graduation ceremony.

Homicide Detectives commenced an immediate investigation into the shooting death of the 23 year old Jackson, that occurred at around 3am on Mother’s Day.

Within weeks of the incident, and with the help of the City Surveillance Camera System and witnesses, Detectives arrested 20 year old DaMario Cordelius of Amherst on May 27th and charged him with Murder in the second degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon.

The investigation remains ongoing.
