Announcing the Buffalo Police Department's Youth Police Academy For 7th And 8th Grade Students

Attention 7th And 8th Graders!

Come to the Buffalo Police Department's 14th Annual Youth Police Academy on Saturday, October 18th, 2008

8:30am - 2:30pm at 74 Franklin Street

Learn about policing, emergency preparedness, cyber crime, crime prevention, and how violence can affect the left of teens. Meet other kids and talk to experts from the Buffalo Police Department and the FBI. Learn how to join the Police Explorer Scouts. Each student will get a graduation certificate and community service credit. There is no charge for the Academy. Lunch and snacks with be provided.

Applications are available from your School Principal or by calling 851-4523.

Applications must be in no than October 10th. Only 100 slots are available – so hurry and sign-up!

The Academy is made possible by the support of the Buffalo Police Department, the FBI Foundation and the West Side Community Center.
