BPD Homicide #12 Identify Homicide Victim

The shooting death of a Buffalo man continues to be investigated by the Buffalo police homicide squad. The man was found in a vehicle, apparently shot, while on Rapin Place. Police responded to a call of shots fired at approximately 10:30 Wednesday night. The victim has been identified as 30 year old Raymond Johnson Jr. with E. Ferry and Main St. addresses in the city. Autopsy results showed that he died as a result of a single wound to the head. "Our investigators are in need of information, regarding the victim's whereabouts prior to his death," said Dennis J. Richards, chief of detectives. "No clear motive has been established in this continuing investigation," Richards said. This is the city's 12th homicide of 2008.
