BPD Locate Missing Woman

Jackie VasquezBuffalo Police found a missing Hispanic woman late Thursday evening in North Buffalo after she apparently had been abducted by her former boyfriend earlier in the day.

The 16 hour ordeal ended after police received a tip, that the two might be going to a relatives home on Camden Avenue sometime after 9 o'clock Thursday evening. When the two arrived, police were waiting and the two were brought in for questioning.

38 year old Brock Pawling of Buffalo was later arrested and charged with criminal contempt in the second degree for violating an order of protection.

The incident began shortly after 6am Thursday morning in the 400 block of Vermont St. Police believe that Pawling broke into his former girlfriends home, 35 year old Jackie Vasquez, and took her against her will. Police continued to search for the two through out the day.

And then just after 8:30pm Thursday evening, police received a tip that the two might be going to a home in the 100 block of Camden Avenue. Buffalo Police quickly responded to the scene, arriving in unmarked vehicles. Pawling and Vasquez arrived a short time later and police were waiting for them.
