A Second Suspect Arrested in Christmas Shooting

Kevin Miller

Kevin Miller, Arrested by BPD

Buffalo Police have made a second arrest  in connection with the Christmas Night shooting that took place outside of a McDonald's Restaurant on Elmwood Avenue in north Buffalo. Early Thursday evening, Police arrested 17 year old Kevin Miller of Alma Avenue and charged him three counts of attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal use of a firearm. Earlier this week, Police also arrested  17 year old David A. Williams of Colvin Avenue in connection with the Christmas Night shooting of Stephon Foster. Williams faces the same charges as Miller.

The case has been of particular interest to the public because it happened during the holiday season and because it happened after Buffalo Police broke up several fights at a movie theatre, across the street from the incident.

Credit for this investigation goes to Detective Sergeant Brenda Callahan-Moll, Detectives Marvin Sanford, Charles Militello and Jeffrey Weyand. Plus Officers Brian Griffin, Joseph Langdon and Ralph Skinner.

Chief of Detectives, Dennis J. Richards said "the clearing of this case, with two arrests is significant. The district detectives involved were able to gain the trust and confidence of young victims, witnesses, and their parents to come forward with information. This cooperation with police is crucial in order to break the cycle of violence".
