BPD Identify Bickford Avenue Homicide Victim

Buffalo Police Homicide Detectives have identified the victim of a fatal shooting Sunday night on Bickford Avenue. 21 year old Gregory Milhouse of Winspear Avenue was struck by a bullet in the 100 block of Bickford Avenue around 10:30pm Sunday evening. He later died of the gunshot wound at the Erie County Medical Center.

"There was a fight in the vicinity, less than an hour before the shooting incident", according to Dennis J. Richards, Chief of Detectives. Richards added, "Our detectives are attempting to determine what, if any connection there may be to the two incidents".

Northeast District Police responded to the scene on Bickford Avenue to investigate a call of shots fired. It is believed Milhouse was on a front porch of a house, when he was struck by one of several shots fired towards the home.

Investigators are attempting to locate witnesses and they're asking anyone with information to contact the homicide squad at (716)851-4466 or the Confidential TIPCALL Line at (716)847-2255.
