BPD Investigate Berkshire Avenue Shooting

Buffalo Police Homicide Squad Detectives are continuing the investigation into a shooting incident in the 200 block of Berkshire Ave., on Wednesday night. November 19th.The victim, identified as 25 year old James Simpson Jr., of LaSalle Ave., Buffalo, died Thursday evening at the Erie County Medical Center. Simpson was found lying in the street in the vicinity of Berkshire and Comstock Ave., by northeast district police, around 11:15pm.

A motive for the shooting has yet to be established, but police believe a lone gunman was involved, and that he fled on foot after firing a shot at the victim. Police are asking for the public's help in the investigation of this incident. Anyone with information can call the confidential TIPCALL line at 847-2255.
