BPD Continue Crackdown on Gangs, Guns and Drugs

The Buffalo Police Department made a total of eight arrests after two search warrants were executed on Monday evening. An assault rifle, crack cocaine, packaging materials and a small amount of marijuana was seized, as a result of the police investigation into illegal narcotics dealing. "So far this year, there have been 728 search warrants executed in the City of Buffalo, most of which are for illegal drugs or weapons," said Dennis J. Richards, Chief of Detectives.

Around 5:30 PM police raided 195 Landon St. and seized 24 baggies of crack cocaine, along with an AK47 assault rifle and two clips for the weapon, and over $350.00 in cash. Arrested were 18 year oldWilliam James of George St., and 51 year old Jetone Jones of Spring St.

Later in the evening, at about 9:50 PM, officers raided a house at 43 Deshler St., finding half of an ounce of crack cocaine and packaging materials, and marijuana. Six people were taken into custody and charged with possession of the illegal drugs and paraphernalia. They were identified as: 34 year old Wymiko Anderson of Stockbridge Ave., 41 year old Kevin Marks of Deshler, 40 year old Jeffery Fialkowski of Warren Ave., 25 year old Tashia Hodge ( of Deshler, 58 year old Thomas Clark of Swinburne Ave., and 45 year old Pamela Ronnesburg of Deshler.

"We continue to get information from the public, whether through community meetings, the TIPCALL hotline, 911 calls for service - and the volume of search warrants reflects the concerns of residents, regarding the quality of life in their neighborhoods," Richards said.
