Police were informed that a suspect pointed a gun at the victim, a 20 year old Carmel Road resident, and demanded his money. When the victim explained he had none, the suspect fled on foot, empty handed.

Within fifteen minutes, a suspect was in custody and weapon recovered, in the vicinity of Shoshone Ave. and Tacoma Ave. 20 year old Jeremy Vance of Hazelwood Avenue was charged with the attempted robbery as well as criminal possession of a weapon.

The officers were assisted by Lt. Mary E. Hanley, and other district officers, including Detective Sergeant Harvey Frankel and Detective Margaret J. Dragone. According to Dennis J.
