Six Arrested in Parkside Burglaries

Buffalo Police have arrested six suspects in connection with this week's burglaries and attempted burglaries in the Parkside area. At a 3pm press conference, Commissioner H. McCarthy Gipson said all six were arrested in the early morning hours after the six tried to break into a home on Crescent Avenue. The six arrested include two juveniles, ages 14 and 15.

The other four arrested were: 16 year old Kevin J. Young, 17 year old Richard C. Young, 18 year old Phillip Q. Armistead and 17 year old Brandon C. Williams. All of the suspects are charged with attempted robbery, attemtped burglary and criminal mischief. Other charges could be forth coming. Three of the suspects arrested are brothers.

Police believe the six are responsible for earlier burglaries and attempted burglaries that happened on December 4th and December 5th in the Parkside area. After the first burglary on Parkside Avenue, Buffalo Police set up a special investigative unit. That unit monitored the area and four days later they arrested the six suspects.

The suspects are expected to be arraigned Sunday morning in Buffalo City Court. If you have information regarding a crime you can email us at or you can call the Confidential Tip Call Line at 847-2255. If there is a crime in progress or you see or hear something out of the ordinary, call 9-1-1.
