- The Cold Case Unit specializes in investigating old, unsolved crimes. The investigative unit was re-instituted by Mayor Byron W. Brown and the Buffalo Police Department in 2006.

- There is a significant, ongoing need for blood and blood products at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Blood and Platelets are needed on a regular basis to ensure an adequate supply for patients undergoing cancer treatments or surgery.
