Chapman Jr. early yesterday morning. Buffalo Police Place Charges in Overnight Fatal ShootingFebruary-2-2012 — A 39 year old man was shot on the front porch of his residence in the 300 block of Guilford Street just before 5:00 this morning. He was rushed to Erie County Medical Center, but died as a result of his injuries. The victim has been identified as Brian G. Chapman Jr., who was apparently on his own porch awaiting a ride to work. Buffalo Police Investigate Second Homicide of 2012January-19-2012 — Buffalo police are continuing their investigation into a double shooting incident that occurred eleven days ago, which has now resulted in the death of one of the victims. On January 8, at around 6:30pm, investigating police learned that two men were shot while in a vehicle in the vicinity of Wohlers Avenue and Dodge Street. "The 25 year old homicide victim had just gotten into a vehicle on the passenger side, when an unknown suspect opened fire," according to Dennis J. BPD Investigate first homicide of 2012January-13-2012 — Buffalo police continue to investigate this year's first recorded homicide, which was discovered around 1pm Thursday afternoon. Northeast District police had responded to a house on Roebling Avenue after family members discovered the lifeless body of Arthur Walton. He was 54 years old. BPD Investigating Discovery of Dead Body in Bailey-Delavan AreaJanuary-12-2012 — Buffalo police are investigating the discovery of a dead body early Thursday afternoon in the city's Bailey Avenue-Delavan area. Northeast District officers initially responded to the call at approximately 1PM at a home in the first block of Roebling Avenue. Suspect in 2010 Triple Shooting Faces Manslaughter ChargesDecember-19-2011 — A plea deal has been struck, in the homicide investigation of Joshua Korczykowski, who was killed on April 10, 2010. Korczykowski was shot to death, and his 4 year old daughter as well as his brother in law were also struck by gunfire. Pleading guilty to first degree manslaugher, is Gregory King Ward Shaw. Shaw had fled the Buffalo area after the triple shooting, and was eventually tracked to the state of Georgia. BPD Alert in Public Stranger Danger Case November-03-2011 — Buffalo police are looking for a suspicious man, who rides a bicycle, in connection with possibly three recent incidents involving young boys. At this time, police say two of the incidents appear to be related. Police say the suspect has approached two young boys, one 8 years old and the other 11 years old, in two different parts of the city. The suspect approaches the young boys on a bicycle and asks the kids "if they wanta make some money". At some point the suspect begins taking pictures of the boys using a camera and then attempts to lure them away. Crime Stoppers Announces Reward in West Side ShootingNovember-03-2011 — Crime Stoppers has announced a reward in connection with the shooting of 25 year old Antonio Lynn of Buffalo. The incident occurred Wednesday, October 26th, just after 10:30pm at Bird Avenue and Richmond Avenue. Mayor Byron Brown Announces Arrest in East Side Fatal Hit and RunOctober-26-2011 — Mayor Byron W. Around 2:15 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2011 Officer Lisa Holloway of the Mayor's Impact Team was flagged down by a citizen who reported suspicious activity at an apartment complex on Delaware Avenue near Tacoma Avenue.
